Russia won the women's handball Olympic gold medal on Saturday, beating France 22-10 in the final.
Russia, who had already denied two-time defending champions Norway with an extra-time win in the semi-finals, finished the tournament unbeaten.
Norway defeated the Netherlands 36-26 to claim bronze.
