Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor on Friday Aug 12,2016 said it has achieved
10 lakh production milestone for its scooter offerings, four years after
the launch of its first scooter in India
India Yamaha Motor (IYM) rolled its one-millionth scooter 'Fascino' from Surajpur plant in Greater Noida today, India Yamaha Motor said in a statement.
India Yamaha Motor (IYM)entered the scooter market in India in 2012 with Cygnus Ray model aimed
at young females. The company currently produces Cygnus Ray Z, Cygnus
Alpha, Cygnus Ray-ZR and Fascino scooter models in India.
Out of the one million scooters produced, around 80,000 scooters have been exported to the global markets. The major overseas export countries for Yamaha are Nepal, Mexico, Sri Lanka followed by Cost Rica, Dominican Republic and Ecuador, the company said.
