Chinese duo Fu Haifeng and Zhang Nan defeated Malaysia's Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong to win gold in a pulsating men's badminton doubles final in Rio on Friday Aug 19,2016
Malaysia won the first game 21-16 before China got back in the match 21-11 in the second. But the Chinese pair clinched the final game 23-21 in a dramatic finish.
The Malaysians were 21-20 up in the decider and had a first ever Olympic gold medal for their country in their sights, but a miss-hit serve put China level.
The Chinese then won the next two points to break Malaysian hearts.
It was the second consecutive Olympic gold medal in men's doubles for 32-year-old Fu Haifeng. He also claimed silver at Beijing 2008.
