A total of 3,188 biological material samples have been tested for the purpose of doping control since the opening of the Olympic Village a week ahead of the Rio Games, the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) medical director has said.
The Summer Olympic Games are being held in Rio de Janeiro from August 5 until August 21. The Olympic Village opened on July 24,2016
"We have done 2,701 urine samples, 191 blood samples, 296 biological passports: 3,188 altogether," Richard Budgett told on Monday Aug 15,2016
He added that more than 4,000 tests overall were expected to be taken by the end of the games
