Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has recently reduced the price of its popular smart hybrid vehicles - Ciaz 'Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki' (SHVS) by up to 69,000 and the Ertiga 'Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki' (SHVS) by up to 62,000.
Apparently this heavy price cut comes as a result of reduction in the excise duty, which has come down 24 % to 12.5 %.
As per the revised prices the base variant of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS is now 7.68 lakh going up to 9.49 lakh.
On the other hand the base variant of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga SHVS is now priced at 7.08 lakh going up to 8.66 lakh (All Prices Ex-Showroom, Delhi)

Due to the company's 'Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki' (SHVS) technology Ciaz and Ertiga come under the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP). This makes both the models eligible to receive almost 50 per cent reduction in excise duty enabling the heavy price cut
