Rohit Sharma's top innings at Eden Gardens,Kolkata

1)200* vs Bengal, Ranji Trophy 2010-11

Aided by three dropped catches, Rohit hit his third first-class double-century in a Group A match of the Ranji Trophy 2010-11 season against Bengal  
 
His knock helped Mumbai declare at 621/8 and it came on a day when he was demoted to Group C from Group B in BCCI's central contracts list.

2)109* vs Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2012

Rohit Sharma scored his maiden IPL century in the fifth season while playing for Mumbai Indians in a league match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Batting first, Rohit laid into the KKR bowlers, hammering them for 12 fours and five sixes in an unbeaten 109 while adding 167 for the second wicket with Herschelle Gibbs (66*)

3)177 vs West Indies 2013; Bilateral  Test Series

Rohit Sharma made a big splash on his Test debut, scoring 177 against West Indies in November 2013. It was a series that made headlines for being Sachin Tendulkar's final one

By the time he was out, 177 runs had come from his bat which is also the highest by a Test debutant at the Eden Gardens

4)264 vs Sri Lanka 2014; Bilateral ODI Series

Returning from an injury, Rohit established himself at the top of the Indian batting order by smashing a record-breaking 264 off 173 balls in an ODI against Sri Lanka in November 2014.

Before Rohit Sharma was out of the last ball after opening the innings, Rohit Sharma had scored 33 fours and nine sixes in his second ODI double-century to take India to a formidable 404.

Rohit Sharma was dropped when batting on four. It took him 21 balls to score his first boundary.

 His first 100 runs came off exactly 100 balls. But the manner in which he scored his next 164 runs was extraordinary.

His next hundred came off 51 balls. He was again dropped, this time immediately after becoming the first man to score two double centuries in ODIs.

And he again made the opposition pay for the slip by racing away to 264 - the highest individual score in ODI history.

The entire Sri Lankan team could only muster 251

5)98* vs Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2015

Rohit Sharma was the top scorer in the opening match of the IPL 2015 with an unbeaten 98 but still ended up on the losing side against defending champions KKR.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians were reduced to 37 for 3 within the Powerplay overs.

Then Rohit and New Zealand allrounder Corey Anderson began the repair work as the duo added 131 runs in an unbroken fourth wicket partnership

Rohit Sharma took a single off the penultimate delivery of the innings to remain unbeaten on 98 runs that had 12 fours and four sixes in it.

 
6)50 vs Chennai Super Kings, IPL 2015 Final

In the IPL 2015 final, Mumbai Indians top-order, barring Parthiv Patel, fired in unison as they set a mammoth 203-run to win for Chennai Super Kings.

Following Patel's three-ball duck in the first over, Rohit  Sharma and Lendl Simmons swept aside the CSK bowlers in a century-stand for the second wicket.

Rohit Sharma completed his half-century with a four off Dwayne Bravo in the 12th over before departing for a 26-ball 50.

As it turned out, CSK managed 161 in 20 overs handing MI their second IPL title.

7)84* vs Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2016

Rohit Sharma anchored Mumbai Indians' chase of 188 against KKR in the fifth match of the IPL 2016

The chase, which lost its way in the middle overs, had Rohit's assuring presence in the middle that helped Mitchell McClenaghan and Jos Buttler play freely to bring down the equation at a manageable level.

Rohit  Sharma  opened his account with a six in the first over and held his end firmly as the innings progressed

Some big hits from McClenaghan and Buttler improved MI's prospect of a win and off two overs, they needed 18 runs.

Rohit Sharma wiped 17 off the target with four fours and a single that left them needing just one off the final six balls.

Kieron Pollard completed the formality with a single while Rohit returned unbeaten from Kolkata with yet another half-century.
