Petrol Price Hiked By Rs 1.06/Litre, Diesel Up By Rs 2.94/Litre
Petrol price was on Saturday hiked by Rs 1.06 per litre while diesel
rate was increased by Rs 2.94 per litre. Revised prices will take effect
from the midnight.
After Saturday April 30,2016's revision, petrol will retail at Rs 62.19 per litre in
Delhi as against Rs 61.13 per litre until now, while diesel will be sold
at Rs 50.95 per litre instead of Rs 48.01.
Fuel prices were last revised on April 15, when petrol was made cheaper
by Rs 0.74 per litre and diesel by Rs 1.30, reversing their trend of
rising rates in the previous one month.
State-owned fuel retailers IOC, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL)
and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revise rates of the fuel
on the 1st and 16th of every month based on the average global oil price
and foreign exchange rate in the preceding fortnight
