Kohinoor isn't the only Diamond India Lost

While the Kohinoor and the Hope diamonds are the best known rocks that once belonged to India but are now in foreign hands, they are not the only big sparklers to have crossed the seas.

Some of the world's biggest diamonds were mined along a 300-km length of the Krishna river between Sangam, the confluence of the Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers, and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.

Today, 12 of the most renowned are in countries as diverse as Russia and Poland, Iran and Australia.
