The handset is an enhanced version of the Acer Liquid Zest which was unveiled at MWC this year.
The Acer Liquid Zest Plus has been priced at $250 (approximately Rs. 16,000) and will be available in the US.
The biggest highlight of the Liquid Zest Plus is it packs a massive 5000mAh battery. The battery also supports fast charging functionality.
The new Acer Liquid-series smartphone will be competing against various Android smartphones with the similar gigantic battery.
These include the Samsumg Galaxy A9Pro,Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo and Asus Zenfone Max
The Liquid Zest Plus features a 5.5-inch (720x1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) SoC paired with 2GB of RAM.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also comes with a new feature dubbed tri-focus. It includes features such as laser, contrast, and phase detection.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Acer Liquid Zest Plus smartphone packs 16GB of inbuilt storage and also sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
