Vodafone has already launched 4G in Kerala and Mysuru in Karnataka. The services will be announced in Kolkata, Mumbai and Bengaluru by March 2016
Vodafone is promising immediate 4G SIM exchange at multiple touch points for customers, with same day door-step delivery of postpaid 4G SIMs for requests received before 4:00 pm on the day. 4G customers can also use 4G international roaming in UK, Romania, Spain and Netherlands.
Vodafone’s 4G network is built on the 1800 MHz band with extensive fibre backhaul, says the company. It is promising speeds from 10 Mbps up to 30 Mbps on its 4G network.
The cost of Vodafone 4G data packs starts at Rs 11 for 35 MB going up all the way to a 20 GB data pack for Rs 2499. Vodafone has also launched its 4G mobile Wi-Fi, which supports connectivity for up to 10 devices.
