World No.4 Stanislas
Wawrinka(Swiss) did not let any issues with his throat affect him on the court
as the Swiss booked his place in the last-16 of the Australian Open.
Wawrinka
picked up the 400th match win of his career with his 6-2, 6-3, 7-6
(7-3) victory against Czech Lukas Rosol in one hour and 55 minutes.
But
Wawrinka’s voice was noticeably hoarse as he spoke to Jim Courier on
court during the post-match interview, although he had certainly not
lost his humour.
Stanislas Wawrinka said: ‘Now I can talk. The last few days I couldn’t really talk. I’ve been OK, maybe too many cigars.
‘I
was just a little bit cold. As long as I feel well on the court, I
don’t really need my voice. If I talk, I just talk too much s***, so
it’s better.’
