Hero Motocorp launches two new scooters - Duet and Maestro Edge in Bangalore Thursday Nov 12,2015

 

Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s largest two wheeler manufacturer, has been ruling the commuter segment of motorcycles for years

It has been quite a while since we have seen a new scooter being launched by Hero MotoCorp. 

So, now the company has unveiled two new scooters in the Indian market – Duet and Maestro Edge. 

 

Both the scooters were showcased in the Auto Expo 2014 and Hero successfully brought them into the market within two years only. 

Maestro Edge is powered by a 110cc, air cooled, single cylinder, 4 stroke engine with OHC. It puts out an optimum performance as it has a power figure of 8.31 BHP at 8000 RPM and generates a max torque of 8.3 Nm at 6500 RPM. Hero claims that the Maestro Edge will give a fuel economy of 65.8 kpl.

The all new Hero MotoCorp Maestro Edge comes with many features. It has a mobile charging port, a key with E-code, remote seat opening, remote fuel lid opening, pass switch, service due indicator, side stand indicator and twin parking lamps. Other attractive features of the Maestro Edge include a digital analogue meter console, boot light, external fuel filling, LED tail light, contemporary front and under seat luggage hooks, stylish titanium muffler cover and protector and stylish alloy wheels.
In terms of riding comfort the Maestro Edge has telescopic front suspension and bigger 12 inch front wheel. It also improves the stability of the scooter. Hero has also included integrated braking system in the new Maestro. The scooter is available in two variants – VX and LX. While the VX variant is going to cost Rs 50,700/- (Ex showroom, Delhi) , the LX variant is priced at Rs 49,500/- (Ex showroom, Delhi).

 

Duet has a metal body which makes it sturdy and durable. Integrated braking system and telescopic front suspension are two main features of the Hero Duet. Hero has also filled the Duet with similar features like that of the Maestro Edge. It also gets a mobile charging port, a key with E-code, remote seat opening, remote fuel lid opening, pass switch, service due indicator, side stand indicator, boot light, external fuel filling and twin parking lamps.

In terms of engine and performance the Duet is powered by the same engine which powers the Maestro Edge. The power and torque figures are the same and the fuel efficiency is almost the same too (the Duet getting 63.8 kpl).
Just like the Maestro Edge, the Duet will also come in two variants – LX and VX
