The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Sunday,
that the suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, Chennai
Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, will not be facing termination.
Following their Working Committee meeting in Mumbai, BCCI said that the Board will now float tenders for two new franchises to take CSK and RR's place for the ninth season of IPL.
It is still not know whether IPL will be a team team affair once CSK and RR return from their ban in 2018.
Earlier this year, the Supreme court of India appointed Lodha panel suspended IPL franchises CSK and RR for a period of two years in connection with the IPL 2013 spot-fixing
