Hero MotoCorp(formerly Hero Honda) - Largest Two Wheeler manufacturer in India

Started in the Year 1984 as Joint Venture between  Hero Cycles of India and Honda of Japan

In December 2010,Honda of Japan decided to move out of the joint venture,, Hero Group bought the 26% stake shares held by Honda

Subsequently, in August 2011 the company was renamed Hero MotoCorp with a new corporate identity on July 29,2011

Hero Motocorp Ltd., formerly Hero Honda has a market share of about 46% share in 2-wheeler category

Hero MotoCorp has four manufacturing facilities based at  -

• Dharuhera in Haryana which comes under Delhi NCR
• Neemrana in the Alwar District of Rajasthan State
• Gurgaon in Haryana and
• Haridwar in Uttarakhand
