AB de Villiers breaks Sourav Ganguly's record, becomes fastest man to score 8000 ODI runs

AB de Villiers took 182 innings to reach the milestone whereas Ganguly belted the same numbers in 200 innings

AB de Villiers achieved this milestone during the third ODI against New Zealand in Durban on Wednesday August 26,2015

AB de Villiers currently holds the record for the fastest half-century, fastest Century and the fastest 150 in ODIs. 

AB de Villiers scored the fastest ODI fifty off just 16 balls during the second ODI against West Indies in Johannesburg in January 2015 breaking the 19-year record set by Sanath Jayasuriya (17 balls) against Pakistan in 1996

AB de Villiers slammed a century off just 31 balls against West Indies, breaking the previous mark of the fastest century off 36 balls by New Zealand's Corey Anderson. In that same match, de Villiers smashed 16 sixes, equalling the mark set by India's Rohit Sharma. Rohit's 16 sixes came against Australia in 2013.  

AB de Villiers scored the fastest 150  in just 64 balls against West Indies during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
