Vistara - an Indian Airline based in New Delhi



Vistara is an Indian Airline based in New Delhi with its hub at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport

The name was taken from the Sanskrit word Vistaar, meaning "limitless expanse"

Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, commenced operations on 9 January 2015 with its inaugural flight between Delhi and Mumbai

Tata Sons holds the majority stake of 51% in Vistaara and SIA the remaining 49%

Vistara is the third full-service airline operating in India after state-run Air India and Jet Airways

Vistara is the first airline to introduce premium economy seats on domestic routes in India

As of June 2015, the airline operates 253 weekly scheduled passenger service across 10 domestic destinations

Vistara has added Bengaluru to its network and is all set to introduce two daily flights connecting the city to New Delhi and Mumbai, starting Tuesday June 16,2015
Vistara's network now offers 237 weekly flights connecting Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bagdogra, Guwahati, Goa, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune.
