Henriques and Burns appeared to clash heads as they went for a chance against Sussex at Arundel on England's south coast. British media reported that Burns was even unconscious for close to five minutes on the field and has a cut on his face.
Three ambulances made their way on to the outfield, as well as club medical staff.
Henriques, who tried to stand, left the field on a stretcher and gave a thumbs-up sign to the crowd. He is believed to have lost a couple of his teeth and has a broken jaw.
Play was subsequently suspended, with home side Sussex on 141 for seven.
Sussex posted on Twitter: "A nasty collision in the deep as two Surrey players converge to try and take the same catch. Physios rush on. Let's hope they're okay.
"Play has now officially been suspended. The rest of the players have been taken from the pitch whilst the players affected are treated."
Surrey added: "We have now 3 ambulances on the field of play treating Rory Burns and Moises Henriques."
