The company, which was acquired by German luxury car maker Audi AG in April 2012, has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in India, its 12th in the world, that will appoint dealerships directly in the country.
For a start, the company has dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai, and it opened one today in Gurgaon; it will launch another one in Bengaluru later this year.
It also launched two new bikes — Classic and Full Throttle — in the Scrambler range.
