India's youngest and 29th state — Telangana — has turned one year old
On its first anniversary, the Telangana government has grandiose plans to celebrate the day, but Andhra Pradesh has announced a week long 'Nava Nirmana Deeksha' to remind people of the challenges ahead in rebuilding the state post-bifurcation.
Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao said, "In one year, we have managed to get lots of investments."
But there have been a fair share of controversies too. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been time and again criticised for his dictatorial behavior. He once infamously attacked the media and even decided to shift the Secretariat over Vastu concerns.
