The high milk yield officially set a new national livestock record. The previous record was 58.8 kg of milk. The cow is of the Holstein Friesians (HF) breed. They are high-yield dairy animals, often called Friesians in Europe and Holsteins in North America.
Punjab’s Animal Husbandry Department Director Dr H S Sandhwan said the cow is owned by Ludhiana’s Satluj Dairy Farms. “It’s a new national milk yield record,” he said.
