The Supreme Court of India(SCI)on Wednesday Dec 03,2014 asked the Centre to ensure that the
ongoing Income Tax probe for suspected black money concerning 627
Indians who have accounts in HSBC bank, Geneva, be completed by March 2015
The SC directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the black money case to consider providing the copies of the reports of its probe to eminent jurist Ram Jethmalani, who is one of the petitioners in the matter.
The SC asked the Centre to ensure that the probe for suspected black money does not get time-barred and be completed by March 2015.
The SC also said that if for any reasons the probe remains inconclusive, the Centre will take appropriate decision to extend the deadline of March 31, 2015.
The next hearing of the case will be on the Jan 20,2015
