Director General of Police S.N.Vashisht on Thursday said that a Special
Investigation Team (SIT) headed by the Hisar Superintendent of Police
entered the Satlok Ashram after obtaining a search warrant from the
court.
“The
team is expected to submit its report within a day or two. The SIT
consists of two Deputy Superintendents of Police, four inspectors, one
SSO of forensic science, supporting staff and cyber unit,” S.N. Vashisth
said.
“He
has been produced in the Punjab and Haryana High Court in contempt of
court case. He would again be produced on November 28 with full details
of expenditure incurred during his arrest operation.
"Till then he will remain in judicial custody,” Haryana
Director General of Police S.N.Vashisht said.
Rampal's
counsel said on Thursday Nov 20,2014 that the godman is innocent, and claimed the
baba was held in captivity at his own Satlok Ashram in Haryana’s
Barwala.
After
Rampal reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court in the afternoon and
the proceedings started at 1.30pm, he was sent to judicial custody till
November 28, when he will be produced in a contempt of court case.
Earlier, the court also cancelled the bail granted to him in 2008 with regard to a 2006 murder case
Thee 5-storey ashram was a luxurious property spread over 12 acres with well-stocked kitchen that could cater to one lakh people for a month and the other facilities at the ashram are as good as those available at any top hotel or a high-end farm house
