Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday June 23,2014

Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office in South Block on Monday June 23,2014, it was not without reason.
Though the PMO described the visit as a courtesy call, Aamir, who brought Modi a DVD set of his two-season-old TV show Satyamev Jayate, talked to the premier about the several social issues highlighted on the programme.

The nature of the meeting was made clear by the tweet Aamir posted immediately after the meeting.
"Just came out of my meeting with Honorable Prime Minister of India Shree Narendra Modiji.
"Was very kind of him to spare his valuable time. He has assured me that he will look into all the matters (tackled on SatyamevJayate)," he tweeted.
