Luis Suarez(Liverpool Striker) joined an elite group of Premier League players when he swept home Liverpool's second goal at Norwich on Sunday April 20,2014
That goal was the Luis Suarez's 30th league goal of the season, making him just the 7th player to achieve the milestone in the post-1992 era.
That goal helped Liverpool to a 3-2 victory that put them five points clear at the top of the table

Luis Suarez is already assured of his place in the record books as his name goes alongside Alan Shearer (who achieved the feat three times), Andy Cole, Kevin Phillips, Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie in the 30-goal club

 

1)Andy Cole (Newcastle United) 34 Goals in 1993-94

 'Cole the Goal' proved unstoppable in the Premier League's second season, scoring a remarkable 34 goals in 40 games for Newcastle United as they finished third in the table

2)Alan Shearer (Blackburn Rovers) 31 Goals in 1993-94

 Cole wasn't the only player to hit such heights in the 1993-1994 campaign as England international Shearer notched 31 to guide Blackburn to second place behind runaway champions Manchester United.

 

3)Alan Shearer (Blackburn Rovers) 34 Goals in 1994-95

It got even better for Shearer the following season, not only topping his goal return but also winning a Premier League winner's medal. He matched Cole's tally from the previous season and formed the deadly 'SAS' partnership with Chris Sutton, who between them contributed 49 of the team's 80 goals.
In a dramatic final day, Blackburn secured the league title despite losing at Liverpool as Man United failed to beat West Ham.

4)Alan Shearer (Blackburn Rovers) 31 Goals in 1995-96

 Despite the Premier League reverting to a 38-game format in 1995-1996, Shearer still reached the 30-goal mark in style.
Blackburn couldn't sustain a title challenge this time, ending up seventh, but Shearer smashed in 31 goals in 35 games

 

5)Kevin Phillips (Sunderland) 30 Goals in 1999-2000

 

Many tipped newly-promoted Sunderland to struggle on their return to the top division in 1999 but Phillips had other ideas.
Forming a devastating strike 'little and large' partnership with Niall Quinn, his 30 goals took Sunderland to a seventh-place finish.
The tally was enough to win Phillips not only the Premier League Golden Boot but also the European Golden Boot (the only Englishman to have won it).

6)Thierry Henry (Arsenal) 30 Goals in 2003-04

 

Thierry Henry,the jewel in Arsenal's crown during an unforgettable, unbeaten season, Henry scored 30 goals to help the 'Invincibles' to the title. 

Thierry Henry,the Frenchman collected a host of accolades for his scoring feats, including the PFA Player of the Year award for the second successive season.
Thierry Henry was runner-up in the FIFA World Player of the Year contest and won the European Golden Boot too.

 7)Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) 31 Goals in 2007-08

 

At the peak of his powers,Cristiano Ronaldo's 31 goals in 34 games helped United retain the title and his overall total of 42 in 49 meant they added the Champions League as well. 

These achievements led to the Portuguese being chosen as the best player in the world and he also scooped the European Golden Shoe.

In many matches,Cristiano Ronaldo was simply unplayable, scoring spectacular free-kicks and contributing goals at crucial times.

8)Robin van Persie (Arsenal) 30 Goals in 2011-12

 

Arsenal finished a long way shy of the two Manchester clubs during this campaign, but Van Persie's 30-goal haul helped them to third and more Champions League football.
A hat-trick at Chelsea and two goals against Liverpool were among the highlights of a consistent and injury-free campaign.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, his achievements persuaded Man United to shell out £22.5m for his services that summer.
