5.14 Crore Voters in Tamil Nadu Tuesday Oct 1,2013

The size of the electorate in Tamil Nadu stands at 5.14 crore, according to the draft electoral rolls published by the Election Commission on  Tuesday Oct 1,2013

• men voters at 2.58 crore 
• women at 2.56 crore and
• classified as ‘Others [transgender]’  2,421

This is about two lakh less than the 5.16 crore recorded in the previous rolls

The Tamil  Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar stated that the continuous revision period from January 10 (since the publication of the 2013 electoral rolls) to September 30 featured 2.40 lakh inclusions and 4.10 lakh deletions on account of death, shifting or duplicate entries
