England Captain Alastair Cook struck a superb century on Day 3 of the ongoing 1st Test match Vs Pakistan in UAE. With his 28th Test hundred, Cook also reached several milestones on Thursday Oct 15,2015


Alastair Cook surpassed the 1000-run-mark in the calendar year and this was fourth overall as he equalled Kevin Pietersen's English record of scoring 1000 runs in a year on four occasions.

Alastair Cook scored his 28th Test ton and overtook Graeme Smith and Allan Border (27)


With this ton, Alastair Cook has eight Test centuries in Asia, and equalled the record of former South African legend Jacques Kallis. This is the highest number of centuries scored by a non-Asian player
