Shikhar Dhawan & Murali Vijay 6th Indian opening pair to score more than 1,000 runs in Test cricket

Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay became only the sixth pair in the history for India in Test cricket to have completed 1,000 runs. They achieved the feat during the first day of the one-off Test in Fatullah against Bangladesh on Wednesday June 10,2015, as Dhawan and Vijay added an unbeaten opening stand of 239 runs

Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir formed the most successful pair in the Indian cricket history. From 2004-2012, they added 4,412 runs in 87 innings with a highest of 233. Sehwag and Gambhir averaged 52.52 as opening pair
