An estimated 12,500 hectares of land have been burnt since Friday Jan 02,2015,
according to local media, and firefighters from South Australia,
Victoria and New South Wales are battling the fires' 238km perimeter.
The state fire service said
properties were still at risk after nearly 13,000 hectares (32,124
acres) of scrub and farmland were razed in the Mount Lofty Ranges, east
of Adelaide, over the weekend.
South Australia state Premier Jay Weatherill said that with cooler
weather and calmer winds it was now a race against time before dangerous
conditions expected Wednesday in the Adelaide Hills
MORE than 30 homes were feared destroyed.12 homes had been confirmed destroyed in the Adelaide Hills, with another 20 also feared lost
