The 2014 China Open Tennis is the 16th edition being played on outdoor hard courts

Both the men's and the women's events were held at the National Tennis Centre,Beijing,China from September 27 to October 5, 2014



Men's Singles Title
Novak Djokovic(Serbia) was the two-time defending champion and successfully defended his title, defeating Tomas Berdych(Czech Republic) in the final, 6–0, 6–2

World No 1 Novak Djokovic destroyed Tomas Berdych in a lop-sided contest to win his fifth China Open crown on Sunday Oct 05,2014

Top seed Djokovic took 67 minutes to seal a 6-0, 6-2 win against Berdych

Women's Singles Title

Serena Williams was the defending champion, but withdrew before her quarterfinal match with a knee injury

Maria Sharapova(Russia)won the title, defeating Petra Kvitiva(Czech Republic)in the final, 6–4, 2–6, 6–3.

Men's Doubles Title

Max Mirnyi and Horia Tecau were the defending champions, but chose not to participate together

. 

Max Mirnyi played alongside Feliciano Lopez  but lost in the quarterfinals to Julien Benneteau(France) and Vasek Pospisil(Canada)

Horia Tecău(Romania) teamed up with Jean Julien Rojer(Netherlands) and successfully defended the title, defeating Benneteau and Pospisil in the final, 6–7^(6–8), 7–5, [10–5]

Women's Doubles Title

Cara Black(Zimbabwe) and Sania Mirza(India)were the defending champions, but lost in the final to Andrea Hlavackova(Czech Republic) and Peng Shuai(PRC)  4–6, 4–6.
