The western coast of Mumbai is all set to showcase the first three-storey yacht hotel.
The floatel (floating hotel) was on Wednesday inaugurated by state Tourism Minister Chhagan Bhujbal.
“The Floatel concept was conceived and
spearheaded by the Maharashtra State Government with numerous
government bodies involved to make this a reality and jewel in the crown
of Maharashtra," said Bhujbal.
The US-made luxury yacht boasts multi-cuisine restaurants, a 24-hour coffee shop and a stunning 360 degree view of the sea
The yacht with four levels, including an open deck, can accommodate 660 guests
Called A.B. Celestial, the yacht is anchored at the Maharashtra Maritime Board Jetty near the sea link.
The project has been jointly undertaken by the state, A.B. Hospitality and W.B. International Consultants.
