The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has analysed self-sworn
affidavits of 1391 candidates out of 1419 candidates contesting in the
third phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
Third Phase voting takes place on April 10 and 91 constituencies including Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) will vote on that day.
Amongst the candidates, 262 candidates (19%) have criminal records, 147 of them (11%) are facing criminal charges
Party-wise candidates with serious criminal cases:
The BJP tops the list with 38 of its candidates (48%) facing criminal cases
21 Congress candidates (29%) and
15 of the AAP (19%) are also facing criminal cases
