The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has overtaken the ruling Congress and its principal challenger, the BJP, at least in the total number of candidates it has fielded across India.
The AAP has fielded its candidates in 434 Lok Sabha seats.
The Indian National Congress(INC) has fielded 414 candidates and
the BJP has fielded 394 candidates.
The AAP, which is yet to get the Election Commission's recognition as a national party is also tom-tomming its achievement.
The Indian National Congress(INC) has given remaining seats to its 8 alliance partners.
The BJP has given remaining seats to its 30 alliance partners.
