AAP To Kick Off National Membership Drive Friday Jan 10,2014


Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will launch its nation-wide membership drive today Friday Jan 10,2014


 Called 'Main Bhi Aam Aadmi', the 17-day campaign aims to garner support in several states, where AAP is looking to contest majorly in the Lok Sabha elections.
Dial or message Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and become a member instantly, Arvind Kejriwal said today as the party added three lakh members online on the first day of its 16-day membership drive.

Arvind Kejriwal disclosed five ways of becoming an AAP member, revealing a telephone number (07798220033) on which callers could phone in or message their details, and get their membership
"Our target is to get one crore members by January 26. But our membership drive will continue after that," said the Delhi Chief Minister.
Arvind kejriwal said the party had decided to waive the Rs. 10 membership fee as it realised that many people could not afford it.

Along with Delhi, AAP is reportedly looking at the states of Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat to build a strong support system for the national elections

AAP has already announced that it will contest all the 90 assembly seats in Haryana, where state polls are due this year and senior AAP leader Yogendra Yadav will be the party's chief ministerial candidate in Haryana

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas has already declared that he will contest the Lok Sabha elections against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi from his constituency in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh

AAP has announced that its first list of candidates for the national elections will be out by Jan 20,2014 while the full list will be released by February 15,2014
