Indian Team's Road to the Semi-finals

Captain Sardar Singh has been instrumental in the team's change in fortunes and played a pivotal role in the opening 3-1 win over England

Danish Mujtaba, one of the few to survive from the London Olympics squad, has realised his responsibility, which reflected in his tap into the New Zealand goal that helped India win 4-2

India's only loss in the road to the semi-finals came against a young German side that beat the Men in Blue with a close 3-2 scoreline

Nithin Thimmaih, one of the new faces in the team, became the toast of the nation as he scored the only goal of the quarter-final against Belgium that put India into the semi-finals, giving them their first shot at a Champions Trophy
