ARIA Music Awards

The Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards(ARIA) is an annual series of awards nights celebrating the Australian Music Industry, put on by the Australian Recording Industry Association  (ARIA)since 1987

In 1983,ARIA was established by the six major record companies then operating in Australia,EMI,Festival Records, CBS (now Sony Music), RCA (now BMG), WEA (now Warner Music) and Polygram (now  Universal) replacing the Association of Australian Record Manufacturers (AARM) which was formed in 1956.
