Defeating the corrupts and serving his duty well, the audience rejoiced his valour. Salman's stardom was proved at the box office when the movie bagged a sum of 136 crore.

'Inspector Chulbul Panday' in Dabangg was one of the few times when the viewers loved somebody in a police's uniform.
