India warned of a boycott of Amazon after it was found to be selling 'insulting' doormats featuring its national flags.
Thousands took to Twitter on Wednesday Jan 11,2017 to call for the global retail giant to apologise for the items sold on its Canadian website - including Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj.
In a series of tweets she called the sale of Indian flag doormats an 'unacceptable' insult to the country, demanded an 'unconditional apology' and threatened to deny visas to any Amazon official unless the products were withdrawn.
