After Jayalalithaa's Amma canteen, MP Govt plans to offer 'thali' for Rs 10

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is all set to launch a subsidised meal programme for poor for just Rs 10, taking a cue from his Tamil Nadu counterpart J Jayalalithaa's Amma canteen.

The Madhya Pradesh Government will be offering a special thali, comprising of chapati, dal, sabzi, rice and pickle for Rs 10.

CM Chouhan wants to launch the scheme on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay's birth anniversary, which falls on September 25,2016

The subsidised meal programmed will initially start in Gwalior, Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur. "The scheme is under consideration and an official announcement is yet to be made
