The All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) has
decided to go ahead with its nationwide bank strike on January 8, after
the conciliation talks held by the Chief Labour Commissioner in New
Delhi on Wednesday failed.
The strike call was given on December 28,2015 to protest against the violation of the bilateral settlement by five associate banks of the State Bank of India — State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Hyderabad and State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur — and their attempt to force unilateral service conditions on the employees, AIBEA general secretary C.H.
