The 430-metre-long (1411 feet) glass bridge,
which was claimed to be the longest and tallest (300 metres above
ground) glass-bottom bridge in the world, is scheduled to finish before
May of 2016
A contest has began to come up with a name for the world’s longest and highest glass bridge in China’s Hunan province.
The 430-metre bridge boasts the world’s steepest zip line and highest bungee platform (300 metres)
Construction work on the glass bridge was completed on December 3 and it will be opened to the public before May, 2016.
The
closing date for entries is February 29, next year and it must
represent the name in no more than ten Chinese characters.
“Zhangjiajie”, “Daxiagu” (Grand Canyon) and “glass bridge” will not be
counted.
Suggested names should be original and
reflect the unique nature of the structure. Entries must be made through
social media app, WeChat.
