Host Steve Harvey messes up the Miss Universe 2015 title; crowns the wrong winner first

But soon he realised he had committed a blunder and
named Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as the actual winner of the crown
Miss Colombia Ariadna Guiterrez jumped with joy after the host took her country's name as the winner.
She was crowned by another Colombian beauty -- Paulina Vega, who had clinched the crown in 2014.
It could have been two Miss Universe titles in a row for Colombia but
soon after Guiterrez took her first walk as the winner, the host
admitted to have made a mistake in announcing the winners
Vega returned to the stage, took away the crown from Guiterrez and
placed it on the head of Wurtzbach, who looked equally shocked as the
others.
Wurtzbach, who believes that she is "confidently beautiful with a
heart," thinks that the title is an honour with responsibilities. She
wants to create awareness about HIV.
As expected, Wurtzbach was pleasantly shocked and couldn’t believe her ears when her name was eventually announced
There were as many as 80 contestants vying for the coveted Miss Universe title on Sunday

Steve Harvey shared a photo of himself backstage at Sunday's Miss
Universe pageant as he apologized to the evening's winner Miss
Philippines Pia Wurtzbach after initially declaring her the runner-up in
the competition. 'I had the chance to apologize to Miss Philippines and
I'm thankful,' wrote Harvey next to the photo, which showed him
holding Miss Philippines' hands and speaking with her as she wore her
new crown (left). He also wrote that he had apologized to Miss Colombia
Ariadna Gutierrez (top right), who he announced as the winner on live
television before admitting his mistake and having to watch as her crown
was removed and given to Miss Philippines (bottom right). It was a
tense moment for Harvey, who had been spotted gambling and having some
drinks at a Las Vegas casino just hours before the pageant finals on
Sunday.
