Delhi Metro - Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate Delhi-Faridabad Metro line on Sunday September 06,2015



Residents of Haryana's Faridabad city will be able to enjoy the Delhi Metro services with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to inaugurate the Badarpur to Escorts Mujesar (Faridabad) line on Sunday Sep 06,2015

There are nine stations in this section Sarai, NHPC Chowk, Mewala Maharajpur, Sector 28, Badkal Mor, Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, Bata Chowk and Escorts Mujesar which is an extension of the Metro's Violet Line, currently running from ITO to Badarpur.

Key features of the metro line —

Total Length: 13.875 km
Cost: Rs 2,494 crore
9 elevated station: Sarai, NHPC Chowk, Mewala Maharajpur, Sector 28, Badkal Mor, Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, Bata Chowk and Escorts Mujesar.
Expected ridership: Over 2 lakh passenger in Haryana segment daily.
This line will be an extension to the currently operational violet line also known as line-6 between ITO and Badarpur.


All these stations are elevated and located on either side of the Delhi-Mathura Road (NH-2)

The project has been completed within the sanctioned cost of Rs. 2,494 crore. The metro line is 13.875 km long.

The extension of Delhi Metro till Faridabad, an industrial hub in Haryana, will ease commuting between both cities.

Nearly 200,000 people travel between both cities daily, clogging the connecting roads
