Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has launched an upgraded version of its
off-roader Thar CRDe, packed with new features targeting growing weekend
enthusiasts in the country.
The new Thar CRDe comes with a price tag of Rs.8.03 lakh (ex-showroom,
Nashik), which is about Rs.45,000 higher than its previous version.

Mahindra has been selling two models of Thar — Thar DI and Thar CRDe.
While DI is more of a utilitarian SUV sold to the price-sensitive rural
market, where it is used for last mile passenger transportation, Thar
CRDe is positioned in the personal transportation segment.
The total volumes of Thar models are about 10,000 units a year and of which 70 per cent comes from DI model. However, with changing aspirations of urban people and launch of new Thar with more features, the company expects the incremental sales go come from CRDe version in the near future
