Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY)

 
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana(DDUGJY) is the NDA Govt's scheme aimed to provide continuous power supply to rural India

It is one of the key initiative of the NDA Govt led by Narendra Modi which aims to supply 24x7 uninterrupted power supply to all homes

The NDA Govt  plans to invest Rs 75,600 crore for Rural Electrification under this scheme.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) will replace the existing Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY)

The earlier scheme for rural electrification, namely Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY), has been subsumed in the new scheme as its rural electrification component. The scheme has an outlay of Rs76,000 crore for implementation of the projects under which Centre is committed to provide grant of Rs63,000 crore. A total of Rs14,680 crore worth projects have already been approved out of which projects amounting to Rs5,827 crore have been approved for Bihar
