Vaibha Shenoy Wins National-level Stamp Design Competition, Organised to Mark Republic Day, on the Theme, Swachch Bharat

Mangaluru’s young artist Vaibhav Shenoy, who has made a series of contributions to London-based Look and Learn website — a picture library for schools and teachers — has gone on to win the national-level stamp design competition, organised to mark Republic Day, on the theme, Swachch Bharat.

The stamp, based on his design, is expected to be available in post offices across the country soon.

One of the three stamps released recently by Union Minister for Communication and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad is modelled on the design sent by Vaibhav Shenoy.

Vaibhav Shenoy,a science student from Canara PU College here, he has also received the district Rajyotsava award and is a winner of the State Government’s title ‘Kalashree’
