David Miller (138 not out off 92 balls) and J P Duminy (115 not out from 100) came together at 83-4
It was rare to see South Africa's explosive top four fail with Quinton de Kock (7), Hashim Amla (11), Faf du Plessis (24) and de Villers (25) falling cheaply.

They blasted the Proteas to 339-4, including 111 off the last six overs, while David Miller smashed 30 Runs(6, 4, 4, 6, 4, 6 )off the 48th over

Sixes and fours became a routine towards the end of the innings as South Africa amassed 146 runs from the last 10 overs

David Miller smashed nine sixes and seven fours off 92 balls to better his previous highest score of 130 not out against the West Indies at Port Elizabeth last month.
J P Duminy almost matched his fellow left-hander stroke for stroke, smashing three sixes and nine boundaries in his 100-ball knock.

David Miller became the 15th batsmen overall and second South African behind Gary Kirsten (against the United Areab Emirates at Rawalpindi in 1996) to score a hundred on his World Cup debut.

Hamilton Masakadza (80) helped Zimbabwe to 277 in reply, losing by 62 runs. The contributions from Chamu Chibhabha (64), Hamilton Masakadza (80) and Brendon Taylor (40) went in vain
