With
the commissioning of the ‘Aavin’ dairy, constructed at a cost of Rs.
2.99 crore, all the 17 District Milk Producers Cooperative Unions in the
State now have full-fledged milk processing and storage facilities, an
official release said.
The Pudukottai dairy can process 35,000 litres of milk a day.
It
would benefit nearly 45,000 milk producers under the cooperative fold
in the district. It would also help augment the per capita milk
availability in the district.
