RCB left out Chris Gayle due to a back problem but made a strong start despite losing IPL debutant Nic Maddinson (4) in the second over

Yuvraj Singh 52* (29 Balls 4x3 and 6x5)and captain Virat Kohli 49*(38 Balls 4x2 and 6x3) scored 84 runs in just 7.9 overs for the 3rd wicket as RCB chased down 146 runs with 20 balls to spare at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Yuvraj Singh who got the brickbats for his slow batting in India's loss against Sri Lanka in the World T20 final, began tentatively before opening up with a flurry of strokes. 


For RCB Opener Parthiv Patel also scored37 Runs(28 Balls 4x5 and 6x1)
Virat Kohli was let off twice in the space of five balls, the unfortunate bowler being Wayne Parnell, by IPL debutant Jimmy Neesham and Mayank Agarwal respectively.

Earlier put into bat, the Delhi Daredevils were reduced to 35/4 in the 8th over with their top order batsmen coming a cropper before Jean Paul Duminy67* and Ross Taylor 43* shared an unbeaten stand of 110 runs for the 5th wicket which took Delhi Daredevils to a decent total of 145/4 in 20 Overs as the pair added 96 runs in the last 10 overs.
