The Royal Family




Elizabeth II was born to Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI), and his wife, Elizabeth on April 21, 1926. She married Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, now the Duke of Edinburgh in 1947. The couple has four children Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.






Charles, Prince of Wales is Queen Elizabeth II's eldest child. Born on November 14, 1948, has held the position of the Prince of Wales since 1952. He married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. Charles had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, from Lady Diana. The couple parted ways in 1996. Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005



Born on June 2, 1982, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, is the elder son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and his first wife Diana, Princess of Wales. His paternal grandparents are Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He is second in the line of succession, after his father, to the thrones of the Commonwealth realms. On April 29, 2011, Prince William married his long-term girlfriend, Kate Middleton. Their first child is now third in line to the British throne




Prince Henry of Wales, popularly referred to as Prince Harry, is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and his first wife, Diana, Princess of Wales. His paternal grandparents are Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He stands fourth in the line of succession to the thrones of Commonwealth realms. On 8 May 2005, he entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. In April 2006, Harry completed his officer's training and was commissioned as a Cornet (second lieutenant) in the Blues and Royals. On 13 April 2008, Harry was promoted to the post of a lieutenant.


Anne, Princess Royal, is the second child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The only daughter, Anne is presently eleventh in line to the throne. Popular for her charitable efforts, she is the patron to over 200 organisations and shoulders the responsibility of over 500 royal engagements and public appearances every year. She was married to Captain Mark Phillips from 1973 to 1992. From Mark, she has two children Peter Phillips and Zara Phillips. She later married Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence (since 1992)


Peter Phillips is the only son of Anee, Anne, Princess Royal, and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips. He is the eldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Philips, who holds no royal title, is 12th in the line of succession to the throne. He married Autumn Kelly, a Canadian management consultant, at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, on 17 May, 2008




Zara Phillips is an esteemed British equestrian is the second child and only daughter of Anne, Princess Royal and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips. Married to Mike Tindall, former England rugby union player, Zara is popular by maiden name



Prince Andrew, Duke of York is the second son and third child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Born on 19 February 1960, he was second in the to the thrones. But after the births of Prince Harry and Prince William, and the birth of a grandson to his elder brother, he is fifth in line to the throne. He married Sarah Ferguson at Westminster Abbey on 23 July 1986. On the same day, The Queen created him Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, and Baron Killyleagh. These titles were earlier held by his maternal great-grandfather and grandfather


Princess Beatrice of York, the elder daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York is the first female heir in the line of succession. She has studied at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her sister Princess Eugenie, who was born March 23, 1990, is sixth in line for the throne.

Prince Edward is the fourth child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Born on March 10, 1964, he is seventh in line to the throne. Married to Sophie Rhys-Jones in 1999, he is a former public relations executive. The Earl of Wessex has two children Lady Louise Windsor (2003) and James, Viscount Severn (2007)
