Malayalam actor Thilakan(74) passed away at 3 a.m on Monday Sep 24,2012 at the KIMS Hospital in Trivandrum.
The body was kept at VJT Hall in Thiruvananthapuram, so that his fans could pay their last respects before the cremation.
Thilakan's first film was 'Ulkadal' (1979) and has since acted in nearly 300 films in various south Indian languages.
Thilakan's latest film, 'Ustad Hotel' with superstar Mammootty's son, Dulqar Salman is still running in theatres
